This page sets out which data the empor.si website collects, why, how long it is kept and what you can ask of us. No legal fog — if anything is unclear, write to us.

What we collect and why
Contact form
When you write to us through the form, we receive what you enter yourself:
- required: name, email address, message;
- optional: company, phone, the product group you are interested in, attachments, and the products you added to your enquiry list.
We use it only to reply and to prepare a quote. The legal basis is your consent, given with the tick box by the form, and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(a) and (b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
The website does not store this data. The form sends it straight away as an email to empor@empor.si. Attachments are not written anywhere on the web server — they exist only in that email.
Visiting the site
We do not measure visits. There are no analytics or advertising tools on the site and we do not follow you from page to page.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours records technical data on every visit: IP address, time, the page requested and the type of browser. These are needed for security and troubleshooting; they are kept by our hosting provider under its own rules.
Map
The Home and Contact pages show a map of our location. Until you allow otherwise, it is an image served from our own server and nothing is sent to anyone. The interactive map is loaded by Google — Google then receives your IP address and browser details and may store its own cookies. That is why it only loads once you allow it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries from the form: two years from our last contact, after which we delete them. If an enquiry leads to an order, we keep the records for as long as the law requires for business records.
- Server logs: under the rules of the hosting provider, which we do not set.
- The record of your cookie choice: stays in your browser until you delete it or until we change the wording of the consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent out data. Two parties are involved in running the site:

We may also pass data to the competent authorities where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the European Union
Google may process data outside the EU. Such transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. If that is not acceptable to you, do not allow the map — you can still see our location on the image and open directions in Google Maps in a new tab.
What you can ask of us
You can ask at any time for:
- access to the data we hold about you,
- correction or erasure,
- restriction of processing, or to object to it,
- your data to be transferred to another controller,
- to withdraw your consent — which does not affect processing before the withdrawal.
Write to empor@empor.si. We reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe we are not handling your data properly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, gp.ip@ip-rs.si, www.ip-rs.si.
How we protect it
- Every connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS).
- The form checks every entry on the server and is protected against automated abuse.
- Attachments are accepted only in permitted formats and are not stored on the server.
- The site and server are updated and backed up regularly.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not need your consent for the site to work. We use only what is necessary:

On your first visit we ask whether you allow the map. Until you answer “Allow”, Google’s map does not load and none of its cookies are set. We remember your answer in your browser’s localStorage — that record goes nowhere and we cannot see it.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: click the cookie icon in the bottom left corner, or the Cookie settings link in the footer. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.

The content of this site is for information. Technical data, catalogues and documentation are summarised from the manufacturers’ own sources; please ask us for binding figures and a quote.
The texts, photographs and design of the site are protected by copyright. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes with credit; any other use needs our written permission. Brand names and logos belong to their owners.
You are welcome to link to this site. We are not responsible for the content of external sites our links lead to. The B2B catalogue at catalogue.empor.si is a separate system with its own login.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle data changes, we will update this page. The date of the last change is shown at the top. If what we ask your consent for changes, we will ask you again on your next visit.
